Sourdough; notes from lecture and info gathered
This is not a recipe review, but I guess just a documentation? Noah has made this recipe a number of different ways.
I have no idea what I’m doing here. There is no information to take as truth (except for Danny’s lecture!) This is just a page out of a notebook or something.
Sourdough Hokkaido Milk Bread
A very weird and interesting thing. It’s out there, it exists. I decided to seek it out because I wanted to make more fluffy milk bread and didn’t want to have fed my starter so diligently for nothing. So I used my starter for this.
Chicken salt crackers and popcorn mushrooms
Chicken salt appears to be five spice, msg, white pepper, and salt. Sounds like it’s for Taiwanese popcorn chicken - I also used it on king oyster mushrooms I fried a la Taiwanese popcorn chicken, and it was great!
I packed my pantry up (And a pesto recipe)
Blend everything but the oil with a powerful immersion blender, and then stir in EVOO by hand. (Blending EVOO will make it bitter.)
Four days, six meals of tenderloin
One whole beef tenderloin, eaten six ways over four days.
"Fry-Roast Chicken"
Easy and delicious. We loved this recipe so much, we made it twice in a row!
Spicy Fennel Slaw w/ Schug and Beets in Tehina
My two favorite Zahav recipes, 2 favorite non-Asian veggie dishes of all time
Going outside for 45 min a day
The 50ft leash I bought for Rosie finally arrived from Amazon last week.
Zahav’s Coffee Braised Brisket
Though you won’t be able to eat it until the third day, it’s super simple and requires minimal active time. To me, this is a perfect recipe for quarantine time. Overall, it’s very low effort, high reward.
